The key to staying motivated is finding something you enjoy, which is why we offer a huge range of classes for all ages and fitness levels at Bass Coast Aquatic and Leisure Centre.
We hold over 60 classes every week in our group fitness rooms. Classes range from 45 minutes to one hour. Our instructors provide options for both low and high intensity workouts, to ensure our classes are inclusive and all fitness and experience levels are welcomed and catered for.
You can now work out at anytime that suits you with Bass Coast Aquatic and Recreation Centre's virtual fitness studio. Thousands of group fitness classes can be viewed on our large screen on demand, including cycle, tone, step, dance fit, yoga and many more.
Our Active Movers classes are designed to suit all ages and abilities, including our older adult members. The classes are low impact designed for older adults, encompassing a range of strength, cardio and flexibility exercises.
Adrenaline is a structured workout that is designed to push you to your limits to help you achieve your results FAST. Adrenaline involves a combination of Functional Training & High Intensity Interval Training. In adrenaline there is a massive emphasis on teaching movements, doing the workout, then beating your own score.
A whole body gentle conditioning workout to improve overall strength, particularly the core muscles. Aqua Aerobics is is a water based class that is suitable for all levels as it is conducted with background music. Due to the in-water nature of the class this class reduces bodyweight and allows participants to complete movements in water that they wouldn’t necessarily be able to do on land.
A pre-choreographed mind body class set to inspiring music. Featuring movement and techniques that draw from Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates, you will leave this class feeling aligned, strong and energised.
A pre-choreographed weights to music class using plates and barbells. One of the most popular classes in the world! If you don’t have time to do your own weights program, step right up to this class and enjoy exhilarating total body workout! BodyPump™ Express is a 30 minute format.
A fun and interactive high-energy class including a variety of boxing exercises, sequences and techniques. Open to experienced boxers and those who have never boxed before, the class is designed to improve your fitness, strength and confidence.
Freestyle stationary cycle workout will build endurance and provides great cardiovascular training. We have fun group classes led by our expert fitness instructors.
A floor-based class aiming to increase your flexibility through deep-muscle stretches. You will feel relaxed and rejuvenated. No impact and low intensity.
A no impact cardio and strength class in water. The class is held in the 25-metre pool and is suitable for all fitness levels, pre and post natal women and non-swimmers.
Exercise in a supportive environment that caters to all abilities and levels. All participants are set up with a personalised progressive resistance training program. Qualified Instructors, will encourage and support all participants whilst ensuring correct technique and safety within the group. Participants are invited to join the 10 minute cool down before the end of the session.
