24/7 Membership Terms and Conditions

You must read, understand and agree to the following terms and conditions.

Your Membership gives you the right to access and use the facilities during unstaffed hours, as such, you must comply with the 24/7 Additional Terms and Conditions. Nothing in this document limits your other obligations, including the obligation to comply with all of our Terms and Conditions and the Membership Enrolment Agreement.

1.1 Membership eligibility
(a) Members must be over 18 years old to be eligible for 24/7 membership.

1.2 Online Video Induction
(a) Members must view the Online Video Induction to ensure they are familiar with key items of outside staffed hours access, including but limited to; Facility access, first aid, automated defibrillator, emergency exits, duress alarms and pendants, and assembly areas.

1.3 Orientation
(a) Members acknowledge that in order to use the Facility during unstaffed hours, members must orientate themselves with key items as outlined in the Online Video Induction, including but limited to; Facility access, location of first aid, automated defibrillator, emergency exits, duress alarms and pendants, and assembly areas.
(b) You will read and follow all safety instructions displayed on equipment and throughout the Facility.
(c) Members can, during staffed hours, request a staff member to provide an orientation.

1.4 Duress pendant or alarm
(a) The YMCA recommends wearing the private alarm lanyards when by yourself in the centre.
(b) Members acknowledge to only activate the duress pendant or alarm in the event of an emergency, otherwise the member may be liable for associated callout charges incurred by the security and emergency service providers.

1.5 Accessing the facility
(a) Members must not allow another person to use your membership access card/RFID/fob to access the facility.
(b) Members must not allow or enable another person/member to enter the facility or penalties may apply such as cancellation of 24/7 access or cancellation of membership.
(c) Areas including sauna, steam room, spa and pools and any alarmed areas are strictly out of bounds during unstaffed hours.

1.6 Conditions of Entry
(a) The Facility’s Conditions of Entry apply during both staffed and unstaffed hours.

1.7 Using equipment
(a) Members are responsible for using the Facility and equipment correctly, including adjusting levels or settings. If you are not sure how to operate any equipment, please ask our staff during open staffed hours before you use it.
(b) Members are responsible for ensuring they use either equipment safety rails or a spotter when conducting free weight exercises.

1.8 Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)
(a) CCTV is in use at the Facility and footage recorded during unstaffed hours is reviewed periodically under the discretion of the YMCA.

1.9 Reporting obligations
(a) Members must report any injuries, incidents or other concerning matters that occur during unstaffed hours via an incident report or by informing a staff member during staffed hours.
(b) Members must report any damaged or faulty equipment using one of the Out of Order signs. 

1.10 Prohibited items
(a) You must not bring any alcohol, drugs, weapons, glass or other breakable objects onto the premises.
(b) You must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
(c) Failure to comply with these Conditions of Entry may result in you being refused entry to, or evicted from the premises and any membership you have suspended or cancelled.


The final step in the process is for you to complete the form below and submit it. By doing so you agree to the terms and conditions as well as confirm that you have watched and understood the induction video. Once done, your application for 24 / 7 access to our Bass Coast gyms will be processed within three business days. Once processed, you will receive an email inviting you to locally induct, collect your access FOB and officially welcome you to Bass Coast 24 / 7 access.
